Design Creation ,   College Works ,  Water --- Freedom and Versatility  , Tang Ying  Inspiration: The "Flowing Rhythm" series draws inspiration from the observation and portrayal of different forms of water in nature: raindrop ripples, cascading waterfalls, swirling eddies, and more. Like the variation of musical rhythms, it highlights the freedom and versatility of water.   Color design: Based on the inspiration, different shades of blue and off-white are extracted as the main color tones, conveying a sense of natural simplicity. The garments are constructed with denim fabrics in varying degrees of saturation, creating layers, while off-white cotton and linen fabrics are used for embellishments. Through the transformation of different fabrics, the textures of water are reflected, aiming for a natural, romantic, and visually distinct effect.   Silhouette design: The "Flowing Rhythm" series is a modern women's fashion design in a natural and romantic style, employing different silhouettes to convey the tension and movement of water. Two sets of long garments feature a relaxed A-line silhouette, while the short ones narrow down the lower body, creating a T-shaped outline. The length variations of the skirts create stylistic differences throughout the collection. Main decorations are placed on the left shoulder, waist, and both arms, creating a visual focus across the three sets of designs. Ripple circles on the skirts are scattered as dot-like decorations, and fringes are sewn along the edges to enhance the dynamic nature of the garments. The first set of garments focuses on the shoulders, flowing downward based on the design trend. The second set focuses on the upper body, with stacked and folded sleeves serving as the decorative element, while the lower body features a fitted mini skirt with a diagonal ruffled edge to echo the design on the upper body. The design center of the third set shifts to the waist, guiding the visual attention to converge on the floral pattern gathered on the right side. Side slits are incorporated in the lower part of all three sets of garments, reducing their complexity and weight during dynamic performances, making them more breathable and dynamic.
